Book Club

Join us for a summer of book club fun!  We meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 1:00.  No registration required.  Books available at the circulation desk.

Cows at the Opera and Other Museum Mysteries!

July 13, 2016 / 6:00 - 7:00

Join us as a speaker from the DIA shares a "Mysteries at the Museum" style talk about interesting facts, strange occurrances and uique behine-the-scenes secret ifnormation surrounding the Detroit Institute of Arts.

No cost!  All are welcome!  No registration necessary!

SUMMER READING SIGN-UP
REGISTRATION STARTS JUNE 13TH
Get your child excited about reading over the summer! The goal is for kids to read 600 pages (if your child cannot read yet, you may read to them). Kids record what they read on the provided log, turn it in on or before July 27th to receive a free book and certificate. Open to any family with a valid TLN library card.

STORYTIMES
REGISTRATION STARTS JUNE 13TH
Theme: Fun with sports
Meeting Dates: June 23, 30 and July 7, 14, 21
10:15AM / Ages 2-4 (With parent/caregiver)
11:15AM / Ages 5- 8

READING TO ROVER
*Register in advance
10 minute sessions are between 10:30-11:30
Mondays: June 20, 27 and July 11, 18, 25
Kids get excited to read when they get to read to a real dog! All dogs are fully trained and licensed as therapy dogs.

TWILIGHT TRAIL
June 24 / Come anytime between 6-8
Family friendly walk around rustic trail with educational stops. Campfire with S’mores to follow. Storyteller Jennifer Straus from “Story be Told” will tell bonfire stories at 6:30, 7:00, & 7:30.
