This January we have a variety of storytimes available!  Storytimes are a great way to encourage reading in young children.  These fun interactive sessions include crafts, music, stories, fun and more!  No cost for any storytime.

Little Me (Ages 2.5 - 6 / with caregiver) Mondays, January 8 - March 26 at 10:15AM.  Register by calling 248-846-6550

Toddler Time (Ages 10 months - 30 months / with caregiver) Tuesdays, January 16 - March 27 at 10:15AM.  Register by calling 248-846-6550

Tinker Tunes (Any age with caregiver) Thursdays, January 18 - March 22 at 10:15AM.  Story and craft are music-centered. Register by calling 248-846-6550

PJ Storytime (any age with caregiver) Wednesdays, starting January 10 at 7:00PM.  Get the kids in their PJs for this bedtime-style storytime.  No registration necessary.

Friday Drop-in Storytime (Any age with caregiver) Starting January 19 at 10:15.  A fun story will be read, followed by playtime and open optional craft that kids can do with their caregiver.  No registration necessary.

The Season for Giving...

This year our Holiday Charity Collection will be for HOPE (Helping Oakland's People Everyday).  We will be collecting items through December 22 for the homeless population that HOPE serves.

HOPE is requesting help obtaining:

-White sock

-Blankets (twin/full, no quilts)

-Bath Towels

-Travel sized hygiene products

-Toothpaste/toothbrushes

HOPE welcomes homeless adults in need of safe shelter and support services without judgement.  For more information on this charity, please visit www.HopeWarmingPontiac.org

Library Board meetings take place at the library and are open to the public.  They meet at 7:00PM in the small study room except where noted for August.

2017-2018 Book Club Selections

You are invited to book club!  This informal and friendly group meets every 4th Thursday of the month at 1:00.  The books are available for checkout at the circulation desk one month or so before the discussion.  No registration necessary.  No cost.  Simply read the book and come the discussion.

Storybook Trail

Read a storybook while you go for a walk!

What is it?
Each page of a storybook will be posted at regular intervals
along the trail. By the time you complete the trail, you will have
read a whole story!
  


What are the conditions?

The walk is about one-third of a mile long (1,646 ft.) on a gravel trail from the starting page to the last (keep in mind you will also have to walk back to your car).

Where do I start and where do I go?
Park and start in the Library parking lot. Walk along the route highlighted in the map below. The trail ends near the playground/pavilion area.
