Harry Potter's Birthday Celebration

Let's meet in the Great Hall (AKA the Community Room at the Library) to celebrate Harry's birthday by watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, followed by a few trivia questions and birthday cake.  Costumes and props are welcome, but not required.

Healthy sleep (or lack of it) impacts our mood, our lives and even our health.  This workshop uses a cognitive behavior therapy approach to address common sleep problems that many of us suffer from.  Led by Ginger Houghton, a certified therapist from Brightspot Therapy.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Join us for a showing of the 2019 Apollo 11 documentary which contains actual footage from the 1969 moon landing.  We'll be popping fresh popcorn!

Did you know the library has free downloadable eBooks and audiobooks?

What you need: 

Springfield Township Library Card

Device such as a tablet, phone or kindle

Step One: 

Go to your app store and download Libby (or Overdrive if using a Kindle)

Step Two:

Put in your library card number and PIN (contact the library if you need help with your PIN)

Step Three:

Find a great book and download!

The reference desk is happy to offer assistance with this service either by appointment or you can stop by with your device.

Basic Technology Classes

We offer classes by appointment that are tailored to suit your interests.  Common topics are using email, downloading eBooks, using your tablet, basics of Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint, basic phone questions, or other technology questions.  The classses run 45 minutes and can be set up through the reference desk.

Call 248-846-6550 and ask for the reference desk to set up an appointment.
