When co-parents or co-caretakers don’t get along, it affects children. Join us for this free workshop presented by Oakland Mediation Center. Great for anyone trying to parent with another person!

2019 Springfield Township Library Photo Contest

Contest Guidelines

1. Eligibility: This contest is open to anyone; professional or amateur.

2. Requirements:


b. Each entry must be submitted as an 8x10 print with a digital copy (either on CD or you can email it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .).

c. DO NOT mat or frame entries.

d. Each participant may submit up to 3 photographs.

3. Labeling: Each entry must have a completed Submission Form included with the 8x10 print when submitted. Incomplete entries will not be eligible for judging or display.

4. Delivery of Photographs: Submit Aug 1 through Sept 27, 2019. For each entry: 8x10 with completed submission form (in person) AND a digital copy (by email or on a CD).

5. Display/Judging/Prizes: Photographs will be on display in the library from October 1, 2019 through November 8, 2019. Photos will be displayed anonymously. Public voting will be October 1st through October 15th. The winners will be notified by October 18, 2019.

ADULT DIVISION: Public voting determines winners. YOUTH: Public voting determines winners. Winners receive a gift card and winning photos will be on display in Library for one year or more. Friends of the Library sponsor the prizes and framing cost.

6. Conditions: Submitting a photo means photographers agree to following conditions: the Springfield Twp. Library may keep and use all entries received on publically displayed materials, and that the Springfield Twp. Library retains the right to share the photos as they choose. A reasonable effort will be made to credit photographers when their photographs are used.

Important Dates:

Aug 1-Sept 27: Accepting Photo Entries

Oct 1 – Oct 15: Public Voting Period

By October 18: Winners Announced

Through Nov 8: Photos will be on display.

Springfield Township Library Card

Device such as a tablet, phone or kindle

Step One: 

Go to your app store and download Libby (or Overdrive if using a Kindle)

Step Two:

Put in your library card number and PIN (contact the library if you need help with your PIN)

Step Three:

Find a great book and download!

The reference desk is happy to offer assistance with this service either by appointment or you can stop by with your device.
